Preserve the beauty of your jewellery by storing each piece separately,  in a dry and humidity-free environment. 

Keep your jewellery sparkling by polishing it regularly with a microfiber cloth or a specialised jewellery polishing cloth to eliminate tarnish and restore its shine. 

Avoid exposure to chemicals, perfumes, lotions, hand sanitiser, chlorine, and saltwater to maintain the integrity of your jewellery. 

We recommend applying your lotions and perfumes, allowing them to absorb into the skin and dry, prior to putting on your jewellery. 

We advise removing your jewellery before sleeping, bathing, showering  or swimming. 

Please note that as the designer components are pre-loved and often vintage, care is needed to preserve the beauty of your jewels. 

The Vintage Secret cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from normal wear and tear, mishandling, or neglect.

Please see our a size chart as a guide for chain length. Chain length will vary depending on the width and length of an individuals neck. Feel free to contact us if you have any length preferences.

At The Vintage Secret, our jewellery is made from a combination of high quality gold filled, sterling silver, rhodium plated, ternary alloy plated and gold plated chains and findings. These will not tarnish if taken care properly. 

Our pearl necklaces are made with fresh-water pearls, hand-strung on silk thread. Our pearl drops are shell pearls, which are man-made using mother-of-pearl.

We use these materials to ensure our jewellery is affordable yet high quality. 

All products are free from nickel and lead.

Yes! All the components we repurpose are authentic pre-loved designer components.

While we are not able to provide authenticity certificates with our pieces, we do have authenticity certificates of the original pieces that we repurposed and these are shown on our website with each listing. 

This is a new system we have introduced recently and we are working through all our listings to update these as soon as possible.

This is an involved process so will take some time to complete across the entire site. 

We are dedicated to quality and authenticity and only repurpose genuine components.

We process and ship orders within 3-5 business days. You will receive an email with your tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.

We use Australia Post and send all orders with tracking and signature on delivery. 

We offer FREE standard shipping on all orders within Australia.

Free Express shipping is applied at checkout for purchases over $349+ for orders placed within Australia.

Depending on where you are located, orders posted within Australia using standard shipping can take 5-7 business days to arrive. Orders posted with Express Shipping should arrive within 1-3 business days. 

Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-28 days. You can select standard or express shipping options at checkout. Shipping costs apply and will be added at checkout. 

Yes, we do! If you like one of our pieces but would like it longer or shorter, made with a different chain, incorporating your grandmother's pearls, turned into earrings, or anything else, please get in touch and we do our best to accommodate your request.

Yes! All orders are sent in a TVS Gift Box, ready to gift. They come with a care card, personalised note on a postcard and a Scratch and Win card so you can save on your next purchase!
